About the event

Rhubarb, that colourful, flavorful, under-appreciated, garden ‘vegetable’ is a true friend. It grows well in our climate and has a long season. Though not common in most people’s diets, it is highly nutritious and more flexible than the typical dessert we usually use it for. We’ll learn new way of using it, share recipes and sample new dishes.

Greens are easy to grow and highly nutritious. They generally like cooler weather so they’re the perfect spring vegetable. And some are even common weeds. Don’t miss out on those just because of their name. Take advantage of the early part of the season to enjoy garden greens of all sorts.

AMARANTH 201: our 2nd lesson in our Amaranth mini series. What it looks like in June (hopefully you’re growing some too), how to care for it, and how to start using it.
