About the event
About The Full Day Event:
If you love gardening but want to skip the weeding and constant watering, join us for an exploration of no-till gardening with Kim Ross. This sustainable method involves creating long-term seed beds and using mulch, which protects soil structure, conserves water, prevents weeds, and even increases your yield—all while improving soil quality!
Kim, a seasoned gardener who has been growing vegetables and fruits for her family of six, will share how she transitioned to no-till gardening. Since adopting the techniques taught by the University of Saskatchewan, Kim has seen remarkable results: higher yields with fewer plants, significantly less weeding, and reduced watering on her 26,000 sq. ft. garden. Learn how you can achieve these benefits in your own garden!

About the instructor:
Kim Ross is a master gardener who grows a market garden near Manville Alberta. She’s become a ‘no-till’ guru as of late, doing podcast interviews as well as interview on the radio, television, and a large North American magazine (yet to come out). She teaches all over Alberta in her one woman crusade to convert us all to the Best, most sustainable method of improving our garden health and productivity.
She’s a single mother of five and a force to be reckoned with, who does not understand the meaning of the word ‘defeat’. If there’s a way – she’ll find it, if there isn’t a way – she’ll create one, but make no mistake. It WILL get done!
