About the event

About the Workshop:

  • Home dehydrating is a good way to preserve your home grown fruits and vegetables.

It is relatively inexpensive (I strongly recommend investing in a home dehydrator), and easy to do. Dehydrated food is shelf stable, transportable, nutritious, delicious, versatile and convenient.

  • Learn how to dehydrate your herbs, vegetables and fruits for use all winter long. And how to use them.

About the Instructor

  • Cindy Suelzle is an avid gardener in Edmonton and writes a blog called Backyard City Homestead. She delights in spending time with her grandkids, especially in the yard. She is a proponent of self reliance and in living a debt free lifestyle. She is actively involved in teaching self reliant skills through her blog site, her youtube channel (a new project in the making), through her work as a Thrive Life Consultant, and in person, in church groups and in the community. She is our Educational Director at Sakaw Community Garden.
