Welcome to Sakaw Gardens located between Sakaw Park and Sakaw School, north of the basketball courts. Our vision for Sakaw Gardens is a simple one: where people of all ages and backgrounds come together in the experience of growing food. This program is provided through the Millhurst Community League and the City of Edmonton. 

Making gardening accessible to everyone with 6 new plots built to allow access with a wheelchair for $10/year.  Connected by "Pat's Path", named after long time community volunteer Pat Whaley.

Now is the time to rent a plot for 2023 as there is limited  We have raise plots and in-ground plots to choose from starting at $30/year.

Sakaw Gardens is a community organization under the umbrella of the Millhurst Community League (MCL) with accountability to the land owner, City of Edmonton.  Read more...

Sakaw Gardens is a cooperative project where all gardeners play a role in maintaining the space. This contract contains all the information on the gardener role for Sakaw Gardens.

NEW for 2022 we have partnered with a family run business ONE GARDEN YEG that focuses on organic and sustainable growing practices located in our Millhurst community. They specialize in providing locally grown seedlings for your garden and have currently added native plants to their selection with proceeds going towards  Sakaw Gardens.
