The funds from casinos supports a  variety of projects and activities including our skating rinks, Sakaw Basketball Courts, Sakaw Gardens, sustaining our community buildings, Big Bin and family fun events.  Our next Casino will be on Friday May 13th & Saturday May 14th.  Sign up to volunteer here. Questions can be directed to Lianne at president@millhurst.ca.

Millhurst Community League will be giving each casino volunteer a $150.00 credit/shift to be used following the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission (AGLC) regulations as listed below.   This is a great opportunity to help pay for your child's sports, Scouting or other extra curricular activity registration fees with an opportunity to meet your neighbours, have a complimentary meal while raising valuable funds to support your community.

Casino volunteer credits can be used to help offset the cost of registration, membership, competition fees, affiliation or insurance fees to tournaments or competitions, and/or travel expenses for an approved charitable program conducted by an AGLC licensee.

What does that really mean to you?

Below is the Edmonton Licensed Charity list of all not-for-profit organizations that could accept your vouchers for memberships, registration and competition fees.   Included in this list are all the community leagues to participate in their programs, Millwoods Hockey, Millwoods Soccer, Scouts, Girl Guides, and many more athletic and arts groups.  It may just take a while to get to know where you can use your vouchers.
